At Training Synergy, the majority of the training we provide is bespoke – designed for a specific client to meet a specific training need.
Our Training Consultants work with our clients to design and develop fully flexible and scalable training solutions which, designed to meet the needs of the learner.
The process we favour when developing courses is based around the ADDIE instructional design methodology.
The ADDIE instructional design model provides a step-by-step process that helps Training Consultants plan and create training programs. The model revolves around the following five components:
Analysis
Define the objectives and constraints of the programme with the support of a Training Project Manager (TPM). Identify the users that require training, the business processes, what needs to be communicated and the structure of the training team.
Design
Our Course Developers will design a bespoke and flexible training programme utilising the most effective learning options which could include;
Development
Develop the training programme, taking into account specific business processes. The deliverables such as the training guides, lesson plans, exercises, e-learning content, presentations, awareness and marketing materials will be created. These will then be reviewed against the relevant business processes. The training environment, administration and evaluation processes are also developed.
Implementation
Deliver the training programme. Courseware is produced and distributed and the training programme commences. Training Synergy has a network of Trainers throughout the UK and Europe to allow for diverse geographical locations and peaks and troughs within schedules. Attendance and feedback data is collected at this stage.
Evaluation
Evaluate the effectiveness of the programme. The training processes reviewed and any required changes are incorporated into the training plan for the benefit of future phases or projects. A handover plan is created which will include the training documentation if the programme is to be continued and maintained internally by the client. Alternatively ongoing new user training and post implementation requirements can continue to be supported by Training Synergy
These five stages of the ADDIE model encompass the entire training development process; from the time someone first asks, "What do people need to learn?" all the way to the point where someone actually measures, "Did people learn what they needed?"
The ADDIE instructional design model forms a roadmap for the entire training project.
We utilise this popular instructional design model to help our clients analyse their training needs, design and develop training materials, implement training, and evaluate its effectiveness.
